Our forums use Textile markup language. The idea is to use something that’s a little easier to grasp than HTML.

Font style

  • *bold*
  • _italic_
  • *_bold italic_*
  • +underline+
  • -strike-through-

Display:

  • bold
  • italic
  • bold italic
  • underline
  • strike-through

Inline images

  • !image_url! displays an image located at image_url (textile syntax)
  • !>image_url! right floating image
  • !{width:300px}image_url! sets the width of the image

External links

If you want to display a specific text instead of the URL, you can use the standard textile syntax:

"Spinfast web site":http://www.spinfast.com.au

displays: Spinfast web site

Blockquotes

Start the paragraph with bq. Don’t forget the space after the “.”.

bq. Sometimes you want to quote more than a word or two. Sometimes you want to quote a long sentence, or even a whole paragraph. That's when block quotes come in handy. They keep things neat and tidy as the number of word pile up. Block quotes, use them, love them.
